Turnigy A6 10 Manual
An advanced and powerful charger, the Turnigy A6-10 is able to charge, balance and discharge Lion, LiPo, LiFe (A123), NiCd and NiMH batteries on a maximum output power of 200W.It can charge or discharge up to 18 cells of NiCd / NiMH and 6 series of lithium batteries with maximum current of 10A.It can accept three types of Lithium batteries (Lilo/Lipo/LiFe). I save the Maunal part 1 under zipped filed. I named it 'A610.zip.001' just as the instructions say. However, when I try to open it, it says zipped file empty.
I am sure I can figure this out, but it's from HK, so I dont want to mess with it until I read more into it. I am trying to use the charge and balance system. It came with a balance extension bar with several ports for 3s, 6s, and so on. I am wondering if I plug in the balance part on my battery to this and select lipo charge/balance, then it will work.
Last week I took delivery of a HobbyKing Turnigy i10 transmitter (TX) with 10-channel receiver (RX). Plenty has been written about these near-identical radios so I won';t even attempt that. But my challenge began when I started to work on setting up the i10 to work with my APM/Pixhawk kit running ArduCopter software.Spefically, I wanted to set up the TX to be able to access the six possible Flight Modes in ArduCopter, plus have a dedicated switch for RTL (essentially my panic switch).In ArduCopter the Aux channels are used thusly.Ch5 = Flight Mode (6 off)Ch6 = Tuning rotary dialCh7 = Optional Modes (ie. Auto Tune, Fence, Auto Mission and many more )Ch8 = Optional Modes (as Ch7)The requirement is to use Channel 5 to access all six modes. I nearly made it, but not quite!attachimg=2In Taranis I usually mix a 3-position and 2-position switch to access all six flight modes. So that was what I set out to do with the i10.In doing my usual Internet research I have found a complete dearth of information as to how to use Linear Mixes on this radio, and specifically to use with ArduCopter for Flight Modes. There is a single YouTube video (see below) which does not fit the bill, for me.So to the job.
What have I done so far?First to set up the Aux Channels 5 and 6TX channel 5 is Aux Channel 1This was assigned to Switch F (my personal choice)Channel 7 (Aux 3) is set for RTLRTL is set to Switch C which is again my regular position.Now the fun stuff begins, Linear Mixes - used to blend in two switches to give access to all six Flight Modes. I managed to get access to five of them only.Master is unused Channel 10Slave is Channel 5 (Flight Mode)And here Switch H is being used to toggle Switch F between two banks of three modes (see table below)The Flight Modes Possible Under This ArrangementSWHSWFFlight Modeupup1. LoiterNext StepsAlthough I have managed to get five of the possible six modes I have not succeeded in altering the PWM values sufficiently precisely to be access all six. It must be possible.I have seen only one YouTube video that ends up using all four of the possible Linear Mixes. That seems excessive to me and of course prevents any other mixing possibilities later, if required.
Fanuc programming manual. Given that I';ve managed five using a single Linear Mixer I think that I may just be missing something obvious. HiCan I ask how you connected your Turnigy receiver to the Pixhawk as its my understanding the they are not compatible, PPM from the Turnigy not being the same as PPM-sum used by the PixhawkObviously you got yours working but how.ThanksPaulI simply connected RX channel 1 to the APM (not Pixhawk, but can';t see any subtle differences in the 3DR wiki), jumpered APM Input signal pins for channel 2 and 3, set the RX for PPM and that was it.
