Deckadance is a DJ console and mixing tool developed by Image-Line software and acquired in 2015 by Gibson. Released in May 2007, it operates on Windows and Mac OS X, comes in a House Edition and Club Edition; the latter has support for timecodedvinyl. Deckadance can be used as a standalone application or as a VST plugin inside VST-supporting software hosts like Ableton Live, it can host any VST-compliant effect or software synthesizer, can be controlled by most Midi controllers. Deckadance was created by Image-Line as a mixing application for DJs. Image-Line worked with DJ and programmer Arguru to develop the first version, released for Windows in May 2007. After Arguru died in a car accident in June 2007, future versions were worked on by the Image-Line developers Arguru had been cooperating with, many of whom are DJs. Deckadance was made compatible with Mac OS X after the release of version 1.20.0 in January 2008. The most recent release is version 2.43 from April 28, 2015. System requirementsAs of version 1.9, the minimum system requirements for Deckadance on a PC are Windows 7, Vista, or XP.

Hardware requirements consist of 512 MB RAM, 200 MB free hard drive space, a DirectSound or ASIO compatible soundcard. Required is either an Intel Pentium III 1 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1.4 GHz processor. A Mac requires Mac OS X v10.4, 512 Mb RAM, 200 Mb free hard drive space, a sound card with CoreAudio drivers. Processor must be either G4 1.5 GHz or Intel Core Duo family. VersionsDeckadance is available in two different editions; the House Edition can be controlled via a MIDI controller. The Club Edition contains all of the features of the House Edition, in addition to support for timecoded vinyls. Among Deckadance features are iTunes integration, an audio synchronization engine that can work in tandem with other VST hosts such as Ableton Live, a detachable Song Manager that can integrate with iTunes, zPlane Elastique technology, a colored waveform with red to distinguish bass, the ability to time-code your own CD, beat detection, a 2-channel mixer with 3-band EQ, headphone cueing; as of version 1.9 Deckadance has seven internal performance effects, including LP, HP, BP, Phaser and Low fidelity.

User Interface - Deckadance uses a GUI that resembles that of Image-Line's digital audio workstationFL Studio, which consists of one main window that can expand to fill the entire screen. As of 1.3x there are 6 changeable user skins. As of version 1.9, the program no longer covers the start bar and the icons resemble those of Apple's Aqua graphics. VST options - Deckadance is designed to work either as a standalone program or as a VSTi 2.4 plugin inside VST-supporting software hosts. For example, Deckadance can be used as a plugin in digital audio workstations such as FL Studio, Ableton Live, Cakewalk Sonar, Cubase. Deckadance can host VST-compliant effects or software synthesizers, the VSTs can be controlled with MIDI files, making Deckadance into an 8 track music sequencer. Samplers - Deckadance has eight integrated sampler banks that can save 1, 2, 4, or 8 beat pattern loops from the decks; the sampling process works in conjunction with a beat detection feature, meaning the samples can be automatically synced to tempo.

There is a volume control for sampler slot output, effects can be layered onto the sample banks. It allows for the recording and looping of live audio. ReLooper - The ReLooper slices and re-arranges samples in the playback buffer for either Deck A or Deck B, with the looped region defined by beat markers. Master ReLooper effects include a wha-wha filter, panoramic LFO, ring-modulator, track-coder that combines a vocoder and low-fi distortion effect. Deckadance can be controlled using a mouse, keyboard, CD system, MIDI controller, or in the case of the Club Edition, timecoded vinyl; the program uses a MIDI auto detection system. Deckadance works with CDs. Through an 'autolearning system,' Image-Line claims the program can use all CD and vinyl controllers on the market; when using vinyl, the program distinguishes between 'absolute mode', which allows for needle dropping and jump track position from the vinyl, 'relative mode', which doesn't. Both modes allow for scratching and the manual control of playback direction.

Columbia is former steamship owned by the New York and Charleston Steam Packet Company, built no than 1835. This was the first coastal steam packet in the United States; the steamer was the first of the Charles Morgan Line. Columbia could run on wind or steam power, holding one mast both fore and aft of its side paddlewheels and its single smoke stack. Columbia first ran as a coastal steam packet, with service terminating at New York City and Charleston, South Carolina, its owner, New York and Charleston Steam Packet Company, was a partnership established in June 1834 between James P. Allaire, John Haggerty, Charles Morgan. Morgan had established himself as a shipping agent and chandlery merchant out of his office in New York. In 1833, he divested of his chandlery. On 21 March 1835, New Charleston Steam Packet Company acquired the Columbia; this was one of several steamers which serviced a lucrative contract to carry United States Mail between New York and Charleston. In October 1837, New York and Charleston Steam Packet Company suffered a great loss with the deadly and financially costly sinking of its newest steamship, the Home.

This catastrophe prompted a reorganization of the company, leaving Morgan in control of operations, with Haggerty as the only remaining partner. While there is some scant evidence that ‘’Columbia’’ had been dispatched for a trial run for Gulf Coast service early as 1835, Columbia made its first packet run between New Orleans and Galveston, Texas on 25 November 1837; this reorganized partnership consisting of just Morgan and Haggerty is considered the beginning of the Charles Morgan Line, with Columbia known as its first ship. James Reed & Company, Columbia's agent in New Orleans, purchased shares in the steamer briefly owning a majority interest before liquidating on 31 October 1838. In early 1838, Columbia made a dozen runs between Galveston and Velasco, Texas, a town at the mouth of the Brazos River. At that time, the owners of the steamship Columbia formed a cartel with the owners of the steamship Cuba, an arrangement known to the public as the New Orleans and Texas Line; these arrangements included coordination of scheduling and freight.

The New Orleans and Texas Line dominated this steamship market for a few years. Columbia offered three classes of passenger travel: accommodations on deck, in the standard cabin, or in the main cabin, described in the journal of Mary Austin Holley, a distant relative of Stephen F. Austin, she described fine linens and ivory utensils, service from a 'French cook' and a 'lady-like chamber maid.' During this time, the steamer was configured to accommodate sixty passengers, split between the cabin and the deck. The Columbia completed the New Orleans to Galveston route within a range of 35 to 40 hours, but had run its best time in 33 hours; these speeds exceeded the performance of sailing vessels. Columbia had two sources of power: sail. Steam power propelled the ship when the wind was not favorable in terms of direction; this was critical while navigating the Mississippi River below New Orleans and the narrow coastal passes near Galveston. Steam power allowed travel along a straight line. Most of the freight manifests listed personal effects.

Columbia transported most of its heavy freight to the port of Galveston from New Orleans, though it hauled cotton and hides out of Texas. In the first few months of 1838, Columbia earned over $12,000 in profit. Columbia ran this route for about four months in 1839 after Cuba ran aground east of Galveston Island. Columbia departed New Orleans twice monthly, on the first and the fifteenth, departed Galveston on the eighth and twenty-second. However, a rival dispatched its own steamer Neptune to run this route, breaking Morgan's exclusive service on the Texas Gulf Coast on 7 November 1839; the competition did not persist there long, soon, Morgan's fleet regained its monopoly with its Columbia and the New York, moved from the Atlantic. In January 1840, the Morgan and Haggerty partnership sold Columbia to Henry Windle. James P. Baughman. 'MORGAN, CHARLES'. Handbook of Texas Online. Texas State Historical Association. The first Chinese domination is a period in Vietnamese history during which Vietnam was under Chinese rule from the north. It is the first of four periods of Chinese domination of Vietnam, the first three of which are continuous and referred to as Bắc thuộc. In 111 BC, the powerful Chinese Han dynasty conquered the Nam Việt kingdom during its expansion southward and incorporated what is now northern Vietnam, together with much of modern Guangdong and Guangxi, into the expanding Han empire. Vietnamese resistance to Han rule culminated in the rebellion of the Trưng Sisters, who expelled the Han in 40 AD and ruled Vietnam until being defeated by the returning Han Chinese army in 43 AD. In 111 BC, the Han dynasty defeated the successors of Zhao Tuo and annexed Nam Việt and the former Âu Lạc into the Han empire. Following annexation, the name of Jiaozhi was established, dividing the former kingdom into nine commanderies with the last three used in modern Vietnamese history books: NanhaiHepuCangwuYulin Zhuya Dan'er, Jiaozhi JiuzhenRinan All nine districts were administered from Long Biên, near modern Hanoi.

During the next several hundred years of Chinese colonization and domination, sinification of the newly conquered Nanyue was brought about by a combination of Han imperial military power, regular settlement and an influx of Han Chinese refugees and garrisons, scholars, bureaucrats and prisoners of war. At the same time, Chinese officials were interested in exploiting the region's natural resources and trade potential. In addition, Han Chinese officials seized fertile land conquered from Vietnamese nobles for newly settled Han Chinese immigrants. Han rule and government administration brought new influences to the indigenous Vietnamese and the rule of Vietnam as a Chinese province operated as a frontier outpost of the Han Empire; the Han dynasty was desperate to extend their control over the fertile Red River Delta, in part as the geographical terrain served as a convenient supply point and trading post for Han ships engaged in the growing maritime trade with various South and Southeast Asian Kingdoms as well as establishing it as a prominent trading post with Ancient India and the Roman Empire.

During the first century of Chinese rule, Vietnam was governed leniently and indirect with no immediate change in indigenous policies. The practice of indigenous Vietnamese was governed at the local level but was ruled out in favor of replacing indigenous Vietnamese local officials with newly settled Han Chinese officials. Han imperial bureaucrats pursued a policy of peaceful relations with the indigenous population, focusing their administrative roles in the prefectural headquarters and garrisons, maintaining secure river routes for trade. By the first century AD, the Han dynasty intensified its efforts to assimilate its new territories by raising taxes and instituting marriage and land inheritance reforms aimed at turning Vietnam into a patriarchal society more amenable to political authority; the Vietnamese paid heavy tributes and imperial taxes to the Han mandarins to maintain the local administration and the military. The Chinese vigorously tried to assimilate the Vietnamese peacefully either through forced sinicization or through brute Chinese political domination.

The Han dynasty sought to assimilate the Vietnamese as the Chinese wanted to maintain a unified cohesive empire through a 'civilizing mission' as what the Chinese regarded the Vietnamese as uncultured and backward barbarians and regarded their 'Celestial Empire' as the supreme centre of the universe. Under Chinese rule, Han dynasty officials imposed much of Chinese culture, including Chinese Buddhism and Confucianism, its imperial examination system, mandarinbureaucracy. However, implementation of a foreign administrative system and sinification was not easy as frequent uprisings and rebellions were indicative of Vietnamese resistance to these changes; some Vietnamese welcomed the chance to assimilate as what they considered Chinese culture, to be a more civilized and superior culture. Though the Vietnamese incorporated advanced and technical elements they thought would be beneficial to themselves, the unwillingness to be dominated by outsiders, the desire to maintain political autonomy and the drive to regain Vietnamese independence signified Vietnamese resistance and hostility to Chinese aggression, political domination and imperialism on Vietnamese society.

Han Chinese bureaucrats sought to impose much of Chinese high culture onto the indigenous Vietnamese including bureaucratic Legalist techniques and Confucian ethics, art and language. The conquered and subjugated Vietnamese had to adopt the Chinese foreign writing system, veneration of the Chinese emperor at the detriment of the loss of their native spoken language, culture and national identity. Professor Liam Kelley wrote on how the 17th century Vietnamese historians li Partition wizard professional 8 1 keygenguru.

Enrique Alciati was a French/Italian sculptor and teacher, born in Marseille, who contributed various sculptures in France and Mexico. His most notable artwork is the Winged Victory that crowns the Independence Column in downtown Mexico City, he began his career in Marseille as a sculptor following the French school. In 1886, he received an honorable mention for his works in the Salon des Artistes Français, where he exhibited until 1913. In all his works Alciati adhered to the classical tradition, while the influence of Rodin is quite prominent, it is thought he moved to Mexico City in 1889, where he won critical acclaim for his marble and bronze busts of Mexican personalities. In 1891 he was commissioned by the Mexican government to create statues of national heroes for Paseo de la Reforma, in Mexico City. Of special mention is the statue of Colonel Miguel López, for which Alciati won prizes at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago and the 1895 World's Fair in Atlanta. Alciati was appointed professor of sculpture and modelling at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes in 1895.

At the beginning of the 20th century he was commissioned by President Porfirio Díaz to create most of the sculptures for the Independence Column in Mexico City under the direction of Antonio Rivas Mercado. While he made the marbles in Mexico and Florence, he cast the bronzes in the Italian city. Most of his late works are spread over the Mexico City downtown area, some of these include: Various busts of prominent Mexicans along Paseo de la Reforma. A bust of Josefa Ortíz de Domínguez located in Santo Domingo Square, northwest of the Metropolitan Cathedral. Sculptures that decorate the Postal Palace, across the street from Bellas Artes.
